Freemasonry in Southampton

Freemasonry is one of the world's oldest and largest non-religious, non-political, fraternal and charitable organisations. It teaches moral lessons and self-knowledge through participation in a progression of allegorical two-act plays.

The Southampton Masonic Hall has been the spiritual and social home of Southampton Masons since 1879. Several Lodges and Chapters meet here regularly throughout the year, maintaining traditions that stretch back centuries.

Freemasonry in England is overseen by the United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE). Members commit to charitable work, mutual support, and personal moral development.
